Campus Research
Since its founding in 1965, UC Santa Cruz has been an incubator for new ways of thinking, new ways of learning, and new ways of taking action in the world.
We’ve earned national and international recognition for our impactful research. Our award-winning faculty includes 42 fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, 26 members American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and 15 members of the National Academy of Sciences. From agroecology to visual studies, we thrive on interdisciplinary work that pushes intellectual boundaries.
Here, you will find information about areas where our research is thriving, the Center for Coastal Climate Resilience devoted to fighting climate change in our coastal communities, the Organized Research Units and Multicampus Research Units we support, and other research-related resources.
